Our Dentist

Josh Kelly, DMD

Joshua Kelly, DMD, grew up in a small town called Rocklin located outside Sacramento, California.  Early in his life he always knew he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a dentist.  He even spent the summers during high school working as a dental assistant in his father’s dental practice.  After high school he studied at Brigham Young University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology.  He also spent two years away from home during college to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Porto Portugal.  His pursuit of dentistry took him to the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he graduated in 2015 with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.  Dr. Kelly continues to love dentistry and spends numerous hours each year attending conferences and continuing education courses to provide the best and most up to date dental treatment for his patients.

Dr. Kelly was drawn to Severance when he first relocated from Kentucky due to the smaller community.  His high school was in a town that had the slogan, “A small town is like a big family.”  When Dr. Kelly first visited Severance he felt like he was home.  The town and community felt like a big family and that is exactly how Dr. Kelly and his team treat everyone who walks through the front door of the office.  He makes sure to listen and spend time with every patient so that they can be educated and make informed decisions regarding their individual treatment.  He wants everyone to feel like they are a part of the Severance Dental family.

Speaking of family, Dr. Kelly has been married to his amazing and supportive wife, Alexis, for over 20 years.  They have four children that you may see at the local schools or working in the community.  They also have a small dog, Uno.  Look for Dr. Kelly and his family around the Windsor and Severance area riding bikes, walking, fishing, playing disc golf, or at local school and community events.  During the winter, Dr. Kelly loves to ski.  Be sure to tell him about any recent powder days during your visit with him.
